ROYAL Billy point

Royal Billy Point has 2 under-cover, gas-fired public barbecues with tables and seating adjacent.   The barbecue area is situated between the surf beach and the estuary - an idyllic spot for people who want to have a barbecue on the beach and enjoy the fresh breeze of the ocean with views of the Aldermans and other islands.  Public toilets, children's playground, vehicle parking and 4 freedom camping spaces are located nearby.   A ferry service between Pauanui and Tairua operates from the jetty at Royal Billy Point during long weekends and school holidays.
